Enrollment Process
Our enrollment process is designed to fill each and every workshop with 12 makeup artists who are eager to learn and committed to getting all they can from their instructor and intimate learning environment.  Our instructors and staff work with each prospective student to determine your career goals and whether the workshop supports those goals. If it doesn’t, we will be honest and suggest other options (even if they’re with another school). The class size also means that we’re often forced to turn artists away. As a result, the enrollment process is also designed to discourage last-minute withdrawals from our workshops. Step 1: Consultation
Once you’ve reviewed the website and have a basic understanding of each workshop, we recommend a consultation with Colour Box. In most cases,  the initial consultation will be with your instructor, Colour Box student liaison Jessica Lathrop or another alum. Step 2: Registration & Deposit
Once you’re ready to enroll, it’s time to compete your registration materials and pay your non-refundable course deposit, which is $200 for each Colour Box workshop. We cannot confirm your spot in class until we receive your non-refundable deposit and registration paperwork, which includes your agreement to abide by the tuition and payment deadlines detailed below. The registration paperwork can be filled out and submitted online. Click here to start. Your deposit can be paid via credit card over the phone by calling our offices at 323.348.4511; we can email a PayPal invoice; or you may send a check or money order. Since your deposit is used to purchase workshop tools and materials for each student, the deposit cannot be refunded for any reason. See below for terms and conditions, including cancellation and withdrawal policies.

A non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to confirm enrollment in each Colour Box workshop. The remaining tuition balance is due no less than 10 days prior to the start of the workshop. Students enrolling within 10 days of the start of a workshop must pay the full tuition in order to hold their spot.

* Makeup Artist Boot Camp tuition includes enrollment in a variety or pro artist discount programs. See our Products page for a list of companies that offer pro programs.
** Airbrush Workshop tuition includes a $75 credit toward the purchase of airbrish equipment.


Transfer Policy

  • There is no charge for transferring your enrollment to the same course on a different date, provided that you notify Colour Box at least 14 days prior to the start of your current course and there is space available in the course you are switching to. If you transfer to a different course: 
  • No tuition will be refunded, but your entire balance will be applied toward the cost of the alternative course you’ve selected. 
  • No new discounts may be applied to the cost of the course. 
  • No more than one transfer will be allowed. 
  • Requests to transfer a course must be made in writing and can be sent by email to info@colourboxmakeup.com

Withdrawal/Absentee Policy

  • Withdrawal: If you notify Colour Box in writing (via letter, email or fax) no late than 14 days before the start date of a workshop, you will receive a full refund less the deposit. If you withdraw within 14 days of your workshop, the full tuition remains payable.
  • Non-attendance: If you fail to attend the workshop in whcih you’re enrolled, the tuition will remain payable and no transfer will be allowed.

Workshop Cancellation
In the event of a workshop being cancelled, all fees paid for the class will be refunded or, at the student’s discretion, applied to another course.

Where circumstances dictate, Colour Box reserves the right to change venues without prior notice. Details of the specific venue will be provided upon registration.
